Wood Source

All our raw timber is locally sourced and sustainable wherever possible to comply with BSL regulations and the Woodsure Plus standard.  This timber is stored at our purpose-built production facility until required for chipping.

Chipping is carried out onsite as required using industrial biomass chippers, which are inspected and maintained daily to ensure consistent woodchip quality.  The freshly chipped woodfuel is then stored inside for the final stage of the process.

We are able to product G30 and G50 sized chip, however if you require a different size we would be happy to accommodate your requirements wherever possible.

The final stage of the production process is to dry the woodchip to a consistent moisture content.  The woodchip is loaded into our purpose-built drying tunnels and the heat for this drying process is provided by our three large scale biomass boilers and heat exchanger system.  The hot air is blown into our underfloor ducting where it is released into the chip.  This industry leading system is what allows us to reliably produce large volumes of woodchip in a short timeframe.

The dried woodchip is removed from the drying tunnel and stored in our dedicated storage area ready for delivery to your boiler.

Depending on the customers requirements, delivery can be made by a variety of methods including tipping trailer, walking floor articulated lorry or bulk-blower lorry. The bulk blower features a fully soundproofed engine compartment to minimise noise disruption during deliveries making it perfect for schools, residential homes and other public sector. We are ideally situated to deliver to Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, Glasgow and the central belt. However, we can deliver national when required.
